Abstracts are invited for possible inclusion in the programme as either one of the following options:

  • Oral presentation
  • Poster presentation

Authors MUST indicate which of the two disciplines (BMFMS or NNS/BAPM) they would like to review their abstract.  This should be the discipline which most closely relates to their subject matter.  Please note that membership of one of the participating societies is not necessary for abstract submission.

Authors are also required to indicate their category of interest: Midwifery, Neonatal Nursing, Neonatal Medicine, Fetal Medicine, Maternal Medicine, Labour and Delivery, Pregnancy Outcome, Organisation of Care.

Please also state the classification type of abstract being submitted: The classifications are scientific, clinical trial, cohort, secondary analysis, case report, service evaluation or other.

Abstracts should contain new clinical or scientific data.  This will usually incorporate data from research.  Epidemiological data, particularly if this provides new information, is also welcome.  The results of audit and case presentations will be considered only if they provide interesting new data.

Abstracts will not be accepted where the work has been published in full as a peer reviewed article.  However, previously presented abstracts, or abstracts scheduled to be presented, may be accepted but the place and date of presentation must be provided.

Please note if your abstract is not accepted for an oral presentation, it will automatically be considered for a poster presentation.

ABSTRACT PUBLICATION

All accepted abstracts will be published as a supplement to the Fetal & Neonatal Edition of Archives of Disease in Childhood.

PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and best poster presentation in the various free paper sessions on the conference days.
